We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support our team of sales reps at our head office in Shawnigan Lake. This position will report to the Sales Manager, provide administrative support to the sales team, and contribute to the effective and smooth running of day to day sales operations which includes order processing, answering incoming calls, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Sell the benefits of our products via outbound calls
- Quantify and qualify target companies in relation to their need for our products
- Follow up on closed sales to ensure customer satisfaction
- Track all sales activity and update customer information using Pipedrive CRM
- Identify, list and monitor relevant trade shows, seminars and other related events that have relevance to the lighting and night cover market
- When required, participate and assist with sales activities at these trade shows and other events
- Input and maintain detailed and accurate records and call summaries using Pipedrive CRM
- Closely monitor sales activities and revenue projections. Create regular reports that accurately depict sales activity (call metrics, lead, clarifying, proposing, closing, dollar amounts etc.,) and progress towards stated goals
- Serve as the initial point of contact with customers seeking services and assistance related to sales
- Prepare and process sales orders accurately
- Liaise with warehouse for stock availability and prepare shipping documents
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determine the cause of the problem; select and explain the best solution to solve the problem; expedite the correction or adjustment; follow up to ensure resolution
- Field calls from distributors and potential customers, assess and resolve/forward the inquiry using knowledge of Econofrost and Promolux products, staff responsibilities, and company policies
- Provide client assistance or direct the customer to the appropriate staff member
- Follow-up on pending quotes
- Help drive the general objectives of the business
Requirements/Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Exceptional telephone manner
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects with competing demands to meet deadlines
- Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team
- Aptitude to learn Econofrost and Promolux product lines
- Capacity to exercise good judgment while making decisions in accordance with established rules, policies, and procedures
- Ability to take direction as necessary via email, in person or by phone
- Strong attention to detail and well-developed communication and organization skills
- While not essential, a fluency in QuickBooks, Pipedrive (CRM), inventory management, and internet marketing are useful assets
Qualifications: - Legally eligible to work in Canada
- High school diploma or equivalent; candidates with higher education in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field preferred
- One year of experience in inside sales over the telephone
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, and training
- Fluency in other languages, particularly Spanish, is a plus
